Description
My colorful oil paintings explore multiple visual rhythms in geometric abstraction. I also create monotypes and drawings in my studio near Santa Fe, New Mexico. Since 1994, my award-winning work has been shown in more than 75 exhibits around the U.S. Color, and its power to move us and alter the quality of our attention, has obsessed me all my life. My work is influenced by Minimalism, as well as by my experience as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ghana, where I came to love the polyrhythms of West African music and the geometric abstraction of African sculpture and textiles.
